» Information for commercial legal practices

With Netlex everyone in your organisation can quickly retrieve information that is relevant to your legal practice, i.e.  Courts & Government information (e.g. case law, legislation, Parliamentary information), Legal practice areas (e.g. finance law, competition, IT-law), Other legal and financial resources (e.g. company/financial information, legal forms, legal news).

» Cost cutting and time saving

Netlex can help your law firm/legal department reduce the cost of information and save valuable time by accessing relevant information faster. Netlex will reduce the amount of wasted time spent searching for information.

The internet has made it possible to use more primary information from e.g. courts, government bodies, organisations or other primary providers that are now distributing their own information. This enormous unstructured source of primary information can be as valuable as secondary information. The cost (the time) associated with finding, evaluating, selecting and structuring primary information resources is however considerable. In Netlex this job has already been done.

» Matching your external information needs

Netlex is developed around 24 subject areas matching the external information need of corporate and commercial legal practices.

To reflect the need of our clients to access information globally, Netlex covers three dimensions: the national (UK), the EU and the international dimension.

Our clients' information need is the starting point when developing Netlex.

The development process includes continuous evaluation and re-indexing of all information resources in Netlex to ensure high quality and accuracy.

Computer programs are also run daily to check and correct the around 4200 external links (URL) in Netlex.

New relevant resources are being researched, evaluated and added to Netlex by lawyers.

» Map to help you navigate more than 1400 selected and researched information resources

The subject areas incorporate structured and indexed resources of high quality and relevance.

The key-words under each information resource describe what kind of information you can expect to find. Most of the key-words are clickable links and lead directly to the described information.

» Netlex search facility

Netlex has a powerful search facility, which readily retrieves the information/information resource you are searching for.

Search for word or part of word. E.g. "telecommunication" or "telecom". Truncate for more matches. E.g. "environment" instead of "environmental". It's also possible to use several words in a search. E.g. "arbitration wipo".

When searching for several words, all of them must appear in the same section to generate any match. Use the operator "or" to add separate matches. E.g. "case or judgment", "financial or banking supervision".

Use quotation marks for phrase search. E.g. "european convention".

Search for a resource by using its standard acronym/abbreviation. E.g. "FSA". Type the acronym/abbreviation within square brackets if you get to many matches. E.g. "[SEC]".

» Tips & support

Netlex incorporates several help topics on how to optimise the use of Netlex. There are also shortcuts linking similar or related information together.

In the Tips & support section you will find all the help you need to get started.

Questions and comments can be sent directly by email from Netlex. Support can also be accessed by phone.
